Biography & Discography

Julian's (aka Vern) studio experience ranges from the early days of programming analogue synthesizers and drum machines through to contemporary DAW computer-based recording systems. As a collector of vintage synthesizers, his experience of classic keyboards dates back to 1983 and he has a deep knowledge of a wide variety of instruments.

As part of world-renowned DJ and production teams Stretch & Vern and Reflekt, Julian has scored worldwide success with original productions and as an in-demand remixer. He collaborated with celebrated writers such as Richard 'Biff' Stannard, Calvin Harris, Rob Davies & Paul Harris on the Kylie 'X' album as well as writing and producing for Little Boots & Dirty Vegas as a Sony/ATV published writer. As a remixer, he has worked with a wide variety of acts such as the Spice Girls and Robbie Williams through to Pulp and the Dub Pistols.

As a DJ with Stretch & Vern (Julian is the 'Vern' half), he has been a Ministry of Sound resident and played in all the iconic dance music locations around the world. Parties such as Manumission & Space in Ibiza and the WMC in Miami are cited as just some of the highlights.

Julian is currently working on new Reflekt material and running his two record labels; Nude Disco & Comfort Food.
